New York State's CVAP was established to protect and improve water quality in New York's navigable waterways. The CVAP is a federally funded program that provides grants to marinas for the installation, renovation and replacement of pumpout stations for the removal and disposal of recreational boater septic waste. Grants are also available for annual operation and maintenance of pumpout facilities, and information and education to boaters on the benefits, use and availability of pumpouts. EFC provides administration for the grant programs and also outreach and education to marinas and boaters in New York State.
There is currently funding available and applications will be continuously accepted.
Clean Vessel Act funding is supported through the Sport Fish Restoration Fund and your purchase of fishing equipment and motor boat fuels.
New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation administers the Clean Vessel Assistance Program under contract with New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.
